Jonathan Albaladejo Joins NAFL Staff for 2026
The North American Fall League is excited to announce that former Major League pitcher Jonathan Albaladejo has been signed to coach in the league’s inaugural 2026 season.
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, the 6'5" right-hander was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 34th round
of the 2000 MLB June Amateur Draft from Colegio Janil (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico) and the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 19th round of the 2001 MLB June Amateur Draft from Miami Dade College (Miami, FL).
Albaladejo reached the big leagues with the Washington Nationals in 2007, then pitched for the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks, appearing in 66 MLB games. He also played in Japan for the Yomiuri Giants and in Mexico. Jonathan brings extensive playing, coaching and managerial experience, and is currently serving as manager of the Trois-Rivières Aigles in the Frontier League. His deep pitching background and leadership will be a huge asset for our players.
