Lake Dawgs Announce Jake Plata as Manager

Avon, OH – March 12, 2026 – The North American Fall League is thrilled to have Jake Plata as part of the inaugural season! Jake is a staple in Northeast Ohio Baseball. From Padua Highschool to winning back to back team batting titles with the Akron Zips, to his continued amateur playing career, Jake's dedication to the game of baseball and his craft have led him to his assistant coaching role with Case Western University and on to building and leading Bryant & Stratton College in their first year of existence to an OCCAC Championship. His experience and ability to work with people are key features to his approach on and off the field and he will be a tremendous asset to the players who play for him, as he leads the North American Fall League LAKE DAWGS for the 2026 Inaugural season! will compete against the Battle Angels, Renegades and the River Phoenix as the teams battle it out for their spot in history as the first ever North American Fall League Champions!
